It all started 20 years ago with a passion for music and the local service industry scene. After securing a liquor license and renovating our location in the booming nightlife hub of Pittsburgh, East Carson Street on the South Side, The Smiling Moose was born.

The Smiling Moose Cranberry debuted in August of 2022. The suburban community of Cranberry Township welcomed us with open arms, happy to support a locally owned business with food/drinks and family atmosphere.

Our adventure with brewing began during the Covid times with a small system in Pittsburgh. It quickly became a passion. This led to the purchase of our Brewery in Grove City ( 231 Park St. ). An exciting next step that allowed brewing on a much larger scale. We are now working with Distributers that cover all of Western Pa. The Brewery also includes a bar area which initially served as our Taproom. This function has since been moved to a more central location at 218 S. Broad St. – The Smiling Moose Pub and Taproom. With this change, the Brewery bar is now available for Private Parties and Special Events.
